The Learning Network for Sustainable Healthcare Buildings (SHINE) was officially launched at an event hosted by CABE - the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment on 7 December 2006 in London.
The network aims to help NHS Trusts improve the sustainability of their buildings by providing advice and a forum for exchanging information. It has been established by an alliance between CIRIA, the Sustainable Development Foundation, Forum for the Future and Constructing Excellence and is supported by the Department for Health Estates & Facilities, the London NHS, Partnerships for Health and Procure 21, as well as several charities and other organisations.
