The problem

Many professionals have difficulty assessing the significance of elevated ground gas results, especially where it is being generated from sources such as peat, petrol contamination or made ground. There is also a lack of understanding of the additional data that needs to be considered when interpreting gas monitoring results.

A solution

By the end of the course delegates should understand the data that is required to interpret gas monitoring results. They should be able to determine the gas screening value for a site and make a pragmatic assessment of the risk posed by the presence of ground gas on or adjacent to development sites.

Topics covered

Who should attend

Required level of knowledge

Prior knowledge of the chemistry of landfill gas generation and gas monitoring methods will be
