In May 2007, online access to CIRIA guidance was made available through The Construction Information Service, a package offered by IHS (formally Technical Indexes)
Since the launch of the service two months ago and in the wake of one of the wettest British summer since records began, it may come as little surprise that, of the 600 CIRIA titles on offer, The SUDS manual (C697) has topped the downloads list with over 2,000 requests so far. Other popular choices have been Designing for exceedance in urban drainage (C635), SUDS site handbook (C698) and Water-resisting basements (R139) with around 2,000 downloads between them.
In response to high demand for sustainable drainage and flood-related guidance, CIRIA is offering free online access to its report Standards for the repair of buildings following flooding (C623) until the end of August 2007.
Core members, find out how to access CIRIA guidance online.
Non-members, visit the IHS website for information about the Construction Information Service.
