The CPN – CIRIA’s network for promoting improved productivity across the construction industry – will host a discussion event to launch the ‘Towards zero defects toolkit’.
Defects at handover act as a dampener on many otherwise successful projects. There is also the waste, cost and disruption which arise from defects which disrupt the construction process. Defects lead to disappointment, arguments, disruption, waste of money, energy, time and loss of reputation – and sometimes to litigation. The aim of CIRIA’s new toolkit is to help projects to avoid these pitfalls.
CIRIA Core members and CPN members are invited to attend this event free
of charge;
non-member can register to attend for £80 + VAT. The event will take
place on 9 April 2008, London.
