FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A fully revised and updated edition of CIRIA’s best-selling site guidance Setting-out procedures has been released, bringing 21st century practices and techniques to site engineers and others involved in setting-out on site.
Based on the experiences of practicing engineers, Setting-out procedures for the modern built environment (C709) identifies good practice and recommends procedures applicable to the setting-out of most small to medium-sizes building and civil engineering works.
Sponsored by the Ordnance Survey, this guide has been updated to include the use of electronic instruments, computers and GPS navigation tools and provides easy-to-use, practical guidance relevant to situations both offsite and onsite; covers the basics to ensure a reduction in the incidence of errors and the costs of putting them right; and provides case study examples to show what good practice is and how it can be achieved.
