The Construction Productivity Network (CPN) has announced a series of events to promote improved health and safety performance in the construction industry by examining design and management processes.
These events are free to CPN and CIRIA Core members. A low-cost charge of £80+VAT to non-members applies.
‘Designing for improved health and safety on site’ will look at the responsibilities of designers in relation to health and safety and examine ways in which early involvement of contractors in the process can be of benefit. These events will take place on 3 July 2008 in London and 6 November 2008 in Scotland
‘Crane stability issues for designers and contractors’ will review tower crane stability guidance and discuss the issues affecting tower cranes design, erection and use. This event will take place on 21 October 2008 in London.
Additional dates and venues may be added to the calendar if demand for these events is sufficiently high.
Attendees will acquire two hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, which count towards CPD requirements with the ICE, CIOB RICS, CIBSE & IstructE.
